Word clouds are an easy to use and inexpensive option for visualizing text data. One of the challenges of interpreting word clouds is that the display emphasizes frequency of words, not necessarily their importance.

A word cloud can be an effective method in the classroom if it is used in its appropriate context with the aim of motivating students and developing their abilities to think and gain some abstract concepts. In this regard, the word cloud can be used as an interesting entry point to study a specific text of the book, as a method of brainstorming management, where learners present the largest possible number of innovative ideas and suggestions using the words in the cloud, thus ensuring the teacher organizes lesson ideas and directs students to A specific result or concept.

The teacher can benefit from the word cloud in his lessons as follows:

  • Extracting ideas from the words displayed in the word cloud in an interesting and fun way.
  • Use a word cloud in brainstorming sessions with students.
  • Help students with writing activities by inserting words belonging to a specific semantic field.
  • Poll student opinion on a specific topic.
  • Include them in educational posters to communicate a certain idea to students.

Here are some of the best applications that can be used in various fields such as presentations, blog posts, visualizing sentiment, meetings, teaching, clothing, and heaps more.
